Entrepreneur & Lover of all things tea.
I've had the pleasure of working in dynamic environments including New York City, Silicon Valley, Toronto, Turks & Caicos, and reside at this time in my hometown of Ottawa, Ontario.
A decade in hospitality leadership has led me to the wold of tea & technology where I became a certfied Tea Sommelier and started an online store to combine my love affair for tea and entreprenurship.
Established in late 2013, I own and operate online tea company Tease Tea and have since successfully launched two pop-ups in New York City, released our products on Amazon, and work with select retailers and partnerships throughout the US & Canada.
Starting my company as a full time solopreneur brought its fair share of callenges, setbacks and risks. I'd left behind what I thought was going to be my "forever" career and traded it in for tea inventory and a Shopify store. In effort to make ends meet, with my then, limited knowledge in Shopify's plaform, I did some freelance writing for their marketing/content team in 2014.
That path has led to a career where I currently lead a team focused on the strategic growth of high volume & high growth ecommerce merchants and entreperenurs around the globe.
What excites me most about the world of tea, is how much can be created from one plant, and how many ways you can enjoy that one plant.
From cooking and baking with tea to DIY beauty recipes & health and wellness, I regularly engage readers and viewers about the roboust world of tea.
I am a contributor for the Huffington Post, CTV's Tea Expert, and a regular guest on other shows. Some of those segments ican be found here.
From tea to technology, I've had the pleausre of hosting several talks, primarily focused on tea lifestyle topics and creating an online business from the ground up.
In May 2017, I joined the Algonquin College faculty as an instructor for the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada's Tea Sommelier certificaton program.
